In her first appearance in the National Assembly, MP Habi Rabah expressed solidarity with former president Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, retired general Lebatt Maayouf and detainees of the IRA movement, whom she described as political prisoners.
In the speech, which follows her taking the seat of MP Mariem Cheikh, she highlighted the hardships of residents of resettlement districts, citing a lack of essential services, especially in health, education and electricity.
She also opposed taking on new loans, saying the country does not need more debt as long as previous loans have not achieved the goals for which they were taken out.
