Madar (Bamako) - A convoy of 665 tankers loaded with fuel reached the Malian capital, Bamako, at around 3 a.m. on Saturday, 7 November 2026, under the escort of the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa), according to Mali's directorate general of trade, consumer affairs and competition (DGCC), as reported by Malijet.

According to the same source, DGCC officers registered and counted the tankers on arrival. Once customs formalities are completed, the national police are to escort them to their destination filling stations.

The DGCC said this was the first convoy to reach Bamako in November, following several arrivals in October, and that the services concerned remain mobilised to monitor distribution. Any malfunction at a filling station can be reported free of charge on its toll-free numbers, 36088 and 36099.

A convoy of 596 tankers reached Bamako on 31 October, bringing the number of tankers that arrived in the capital in October to about 4,000, compared with 3,796 in September, according to the same directorate.
