Madar (Algiers) - An export caravan of 25 heavy trucks loaded with about 1,050 tonnes of assorted Algerian products bound for Niger was flagged off on Saturday, 7 November 2026, in Adrar province in southern Algeria, according to the official APS news agency.

The trade director of Adrar province, Noureddine Gaabes, said the operation was organised to mark National Export Day, held by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior and Local Authorities.

According to the same official, the operation, organised by the trade directorate in coordination with the Adrar customs divisional inspectorate under the supervision of provincial authorities, covered the export of several products, including dry dates, packaging materials, cleaning products and salt, with 9 economic operators taking part.

He added that similar export operations would follow in the coming days, as part of the trade sector's efforts to make economic operators aware of the importance of exports in promoting national products and strengthening trade with neighbouring African countries.
