Madar (Rabat) - Moroccan Transport and Logistics Minister Abdessamad Kayouh said the government will release about MAD 400 million in exceptional aid for road transport professionals for the period from November 1 to 15, 2026, covering all vehicle categories, in a statement to news site Hespress on Wednesday, November 4, published on Thursday, November 5.

According to the same source, the aid responds to fluctuating fuel prices and follows a government meeting chaired by Head of Government Fatima-Zahra El Mansouri on the economic situation and household purchasing power. The minister said the aim is to "protect citizens' purchasing power and guarantee market stability".

Registration will open on November 10, with payments to follow, Kayouh said, adding that aid for the previous period will also be released soon. The half-month periods match the way diesel prices are set at fuel stations, from the 1st to the 15th and from the 15th to the end of the month.

For passenger transport, the aid for this period is set at MAD 5,600 for intercity coaches, 4,960 for urban buses, 1,280 for small taxis, 1,760 for grand taxis and 1,440 for rural mixed transport, while tourist transport vehicles receive between MAD 800 and 2,240 depending on category.

For freight, it reaches MAD 4,800 for road tractors, 2,080 for trucks over 3.5 tonnes and under 14 tonnes, 2,720 for the second category and 3,360 for trucks over 19 tonnes. Staff transport receives MAD 960, and towing and school transport MAD 800 each.

According to the minister, MAD 11 billion has been paid out since the aid began, including about 2.5 billion in 2026. The ministry's central and regional services are helping professionals register on the online platform and track payments.
