President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani is preparing to visit the Nouakchott South region next Thursday as part of his field tours to assess conditions in the regions and follow up on the implementation of development projects.
The visit is expected to include inspecting a number of ongoing projects and launching new ones, including the second phase of the programme to modernise the capital, Nouakchott.
The president is also expected to meet representatives of the region's residents on Friday night to discuss the state of public services and hear citizens' demands and main concerns.
