Mauritania's national meteorological office expects several regions to be affected by blowing dust that could reduce visibility, particularly in the two Hodh regions, Assaba, Tagant, Brakna, Gorgol and Trarza.
The office said light rain was likely in the Adrar and Inchiri regions, with light to moderate winds that may at times strengthen across the country.
Daytime temperatures are expected to keep rising in the south, with hot weather reaching coastal areas from next Friday.
