Madar (Tunis) - Tunisia's state grain agency is believed to have bought about 26,500 tonnes of animal feed corn in an international tender that closed on Friday, October 23, European traders said, according to Reuters.
Traders put the purchase price at about $285.30 a tonne including cost and freight, with Garsan seen as the likely supplier. They said final prices and volumes could still be revised.
Under the tender terms, the corn was sought in a single consignment from optional origins, for shipment between November 25 and December 20 depending on origin.
Suppliers from the Black Sea region were also required to provide alternative sources of supply should shipments be disrupted by the conflict.
