A fire that broke out in a house in the Kosovo neighbourhood of Riyadh department, Nouakchott South, after a domestic gas cylinder exploded killed a mother and two of her children and left two girls with burns.
After the incident, an official delegation led by the secretary general of the Ministry of Social Action, Childhood and the Family, accompanied by the governor of Nouakchott South, visited the victims' family to offer condolences.
The delegation gave the family financial assistance as a sign of the ministry's solidarity at this painful time.
