Mauritania's minister of land affairs, state property and land reform, Mamoudou Mamadou Niang, called for faster construction of the regional hospital in Zouerate and for it to be completed on schedule in line with approved technical standards.
He spoke during an inspection tour on Saturday of several development projects carried out under the emergency programme for access to essential services.
The tour included several schools, where the minister saw classrooms that have been completed in some schools and others still under construction, and was briefed on progress and the remaining stages of work.
