Madar (Nouakchott) - Nouakchott's public order units on Thursday completed the fourth phase of their training programme with a field exercise simulating the handling of riots and unauthorised gatherings.
The deputy director general of the national police followed the exercise to check how participants applied the methods and tactics learned during the training.
The Directorate General of National Security said the programme aims to develop the capacity of operational units and raise their readiness, while stressing respect for the law and human rights during security interventions.
