Mauritania's Minister of the Interior, Promotion of Decentralisation and Local Development has urged officials and staff in his department to raise administrative performance and make services to citizens more effective.
He was speaking at a meeting with his office staff, where he stressed the need to improve institutional coordination, consolidate public security and calm, strengthen national unity and fight crime and drugs.
The minister said he intends to hold regular consultation meetings to examine challenges and exchange proposals, in order to improve the ministry's performance and implement the government's guidelines.
