Madar (Nouakchott) - Health Minister Naha Mint Hamdi Ould Mouknass has reviewed arrangements to complete the staffing of health centres built under the emergency programme for the development of Nouakchott, ahead of their entry into service.

At a meeting with the committee monitoring the needs of these facilities, the minister was briefed on the results of the selection of chief doctors and on the lists of proposed staff, and called for the remaining procedures to be speeded up so that the centres are ready before they open.

The step is part of the emergency programme launched by President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani in January 2025, with funding of more than 50 billion old ouguiyas, aimed at improving basic services and strengthening health infrastructure in the capital.
