Madar (Nouakchott) - Mauritania's Union and Change party (HATEM) called for wider participation of the ruling majority's components in the ongoing preparations for the expected political dialogue, saying it is ready to help make it a success in order to address existing shortcomings and strengthen participation in national issues.

In a statement issued after a meeting of its political bureau, the party said the announcement of the majority's representatives on the dialogue supervision committee was among the main issues discussed, along with developments on the national political scene and the party's internal situation.

The party praised the efforts of its president, Saleh Hanena, to bring the majority's components closer together and coordinate their positions, saying the dialogue's success requires combined efforts and the involvement of all forces and actors in addressing national challenges.
