Madar (Nouakchott) - The ruling El Insaf party has discussed including its base's calls for the continuation of President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani's approach among the outcomes of the forthcoming national dialogue, saying that achieving them depends on institutional and democratic reforms.
In a statement, the party said its president, Mohamed Ould Bilal Messoud, discussed with its MPs on Monday and Tuesday the results of the coordinators' tours of the regions and preparations for the dialogue, including the roadmap and the mechanisms for choosing the majority's representatives.
Ould Bilal Messoud called on the MPs to keep supporting the government and defending its programmes, and to strengthen coordination between the party's bodies and its parliamentary group, in the interest of stability and national unity.
