Madar (Tripoli) - Libya will field eight athletes in six sports at the fourth Youth Olympic Games (Dakar 2026), to be held in Senegal from October 31 to November 13, the Libyan state news agency LANA reported on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

The Libyan team includes two athletes each in taekwondo and boxing, and one athlete in each of the four other sports: epee fencing, swimming, athletics and sailing, the agency said.

Each sport has its own coach, according to LANA, which published the names of the athletes and their coaches.

Competitions will take place in Dakar, Diamniadio and Saly. They are the first Youth Olympic Games held on the African continent since the competition began in 2010 in Singapore, the same source said.
