UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his Senegalese counterpart, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between their countries during talks in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, 17 September. They also addressed regional and international issues.
The meeting focused on opportunities for partnership in investment, development and the economy. Preparations for the 2026 United Nations Water Conference were another topic, as the UAE and Senegal prepared to co-host the event at the end of the year.
The two presidents exchanged views on issues of common interest. The Emirati side reaffirmed its intention to broaden development cooperation with Senegal and other African countries.
