Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, received Mohamed Ould Bebana, Mauritania's newly appointed minister of culture, arts, communication and relations with parliament. The meeting marked the end of Bebana's assignment as Mauritania's ambassador to Doha.
According to the Qatar News Agency, Al Muraikhi praised Bebana's role in developing relations between the two countries and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Bebana left his diplomatic post to take charge of the culture portfolio in Mauritania's new government. He succeeds Houssein Ould Meddou, who left the post when the new cabinet was formed.
