Mauritania's National Meteorological Office has forecast light to moderate rain over large parts of the country from November 1 to 3.
According to an alert from the office, the forecast covers Nouakchott and Nouadhibou as well as the regions of Inchiri, Adrar, Trarza, Brakna, Tagant, Gorgol and Tiris Zemmour.
The office noted that the rain falls outside the usual rainy season and urged people to follow weather updates over those days.
