Members of the Mauritania-Libya parliamentary friendship group discussed prospects for developing bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation in various fields at a meeting with Libya's ambassador in Nouakchott.
The meeting addressed the challenges facing the partnership between Mauritania and Libya, stressing the role of parliamentary diplomacy in overcoming obstacles and activating coordination mechanisms between the two countries, including reviving joint committees.
At the end of the meeting, the group's members presented the ambassador with a symbolic gift in recognition of his efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, in particular to ease Mauritanians' entry into Libya and revive cooperation.
