Madar (Nouakchott) - Passengers on Mauritania Airlines flight L6-0301 say they have been stranded at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport in Medina since Sunday night, October 25, 2026, waiting for a flight that was due to take off at 11 p.m. and reach Nouakchott on Monday, the Al-Akhbar news agency reported.

The passengers said they completed formalities and boarded before being asked to leave the aircraft. They waited at the airport until 3 a.m., when the airline took them to a hotel, and were brought back to the airport at midday on Monday in the hope of departing.

They were still waiting when the agency published its report on Monday afternoon, with no clear departure time. The report carried no comment from the airline on the cause of the delay and did not give the number of passengers affected.
