Madar (Algiers) - Algerian Hydrocarbons Minister Mohamed Arkab said on Saturday that Sonatrach has made 17 new discoveries through its own efforts and resources since the start of the year, according to the Algerian Press Service (APS).
Arkab presented the figures to the finance and budget committee of the People's National Assembly during its examination of the 2027 finance bill.
The minister added that the group's investment exceeded $6 billion in 2026, compared with $5.3 billion in 2025.
