Madar (Bamako) - The governor of Mali's Koulikoro region, Colonel-Major Lamine Kapory Sanogo, has extended the curfew in the region by one month, from 21 October to 20 November 2026, after assessing the security situation, the official Malian news agency AMAP reported on Friday, 23 October, citing an official source.

Under the decision signed on Wednesday, 21 October, movement remains banned from midnight to 5 a.m. throughout the region. A temporary ban on dump trucks also stays in place, in line with a decision of 15 May 2026.

It is a further extension of the curfew imposed in the region on 25 April, the agency said.

Prefects, sub-prefects, mayors, the defence and security forces and other administrative authorities are responsible for enforcing the measures.
