Morocco's Ministry of Economy and Finance forecast average annual growth of 4.2% for the national economy in 2028-2029, driven primarily by continued momentum in non-agricultural activities.
A ministry report said value added in the secondary sector was expected to grow by 4.3% annually, while the tertiary sector was projected to expand by an average of 4.1%. Agricultural activities were also forecast to record average growth of 4.3% over the same period.
On public finances, the Moroccan government aims to reduce the budget deficit to 3% of gross domestic product over 2027-2029 and bring the debt-to-GDP ratio down to 63% by 2029, as part of efforts to strengthen economic and fiscal balances.
