Mauritania's national meteorological authority forecast rainfall of up to 90 mm in the capital, Nouakchott, and parts of the Trarza region during the period from 8 to 13 October 2026.
The authority said the estimates referred to cumulative rainfall totals expected over those days, as shown on its forecast map.
In an earlier bulletin, it had forecast light to moderate rainfall in several inland regions as well as Nouakchott.
