Mauritania's electricity company SOMELEC says purchases and top-ups of Mounsif smart-meter credit will be suspended on Wednesday 14 October, from 10am to 1pm, for IT maintenance.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, the company urged customers to top up beforehand to avoid losing power if their credit runs out during the maintenance window. The announcement concerns the credit-purchase system, not a general power cut.
