Arab Maghreb Union Secretary-General Tarik Ben Salem has discussed cooperation with Mohamed Salem Ould Dah, president of the Maghreb Union of Journalists and Media Professionals. The meeting took place on Monday at the secretariat-general's headquarters in Rabat.
Ben Salem welcomed the establishment of the journalists' union and said the secretariat-general was ready to work with it. He pointed to its role in strengthening communication between media institutions and professional organisations across the region.
The two officials stressed the importance of the media in bringing Maghreb peoples closer together and promoting cultural and human ties in support of joint regional action.
