The Malian army said it had carried out air strikes and military operations against armed-group positions and personnel in the Kidal, Dioura and San areas, as well as around Ouelessebougou.
The army said its forces had targeted fighters on motorcycles southwest of Dioura, two bases near Wan in the San area, and sites in and around Kidal, after locating them and checking information about them.
The army did not provide figures for losses. It said reconnaissance was continuing to assess the results of the strikes.
