The Malian army said it had targeted armed-group positions in the Dioura and Mondoro areas on Tuesday as part of ongoing military operations under Operation Dougoukoloko.
The general staff of the Malian armed forces said its troops had identified hideouts and gatherings of fighters containing weapons, motorcycles and drones before targeting them with air and ground strikes.
It added that reconnaissance and surveillance were continuing in the targeted areas to assess the results of the strikes and identify any remaining threats.
