Madar (Tunis) - Tunisia's Presidency of the Government says a programme to simplify about 2,250 administrative procedures, planned for 2025 to 2027, is about 70% complete, according to a written reply to a question from a member of parliament published on Monday, October 19, 2026, on the website of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People, Tunisian media reported.
According to the reply, from the General Directorate of Administrative Reforms and Prospective Studies, the authorities aim to digitise, fully or partly, about 80% of these procedures, while further developing the national administrative procedures platform as a single point of access to public services.
The reply said 34 digital service houses had been set up in 2026 across 21 governorates to serve more than 900,000 citizens, and that 68 more are planned for 2027-2030, at a rate of 17 a year: 12 new ones and 5 multi-counter service houses converted each year.
A "life events" approach, which organises services around situations faced by citizens and businesses, has so far simplified 10 processes for individuals and companies and redesigned 3 social processes, notably school enrolment, social coverage, social assistance, access to care and driving, the reply said.
