Madar (Nouakchott) - A Mauritanian military delegation led by Colonel Sidi Mohamed Ould Hamadi, commander of the National Command and Staff College, is wrapping up a visit to Morocco on Friday 6 November 2026, scheduled for 2 to 6 November, the Mauritanian army said on its official website.

According to the army, the delegation began its visit at the Royal College of Advanced Military Studies in Kenitra, where it was received by the college's commander and several of its officers. The meeting covered relations between the two institutions and prospects for cooperation.

The staff college commander is accompanied by two of the college's officers, its director of training organisation and the head of its operational training office, the army said.

Separately, Moroccan news site Hespress, citing a statement posted by the Mauritanian army on its official page, reported that a delegation led by the commander of the Naval Academy visited the Royal Moroccan Navy from 2 to 5 November, including the Royal Naval School and the Royal Navy Training Centre, under the programme of the two countries' joint military committee.

Over the same period, a Royal Moroccan Navy delegation visited Mauritania's naval staff, touring the naval operations centre, the Naval Academy, the maritime search and rescue coordination centre and radar installations, according to the same source.

The exchanges coincide with a Moroccan military delegation's visit to the G5 Sahel Defence College in Nouakchott, which the Mauritanian army also announced.
