Madar (Nouakchott) - The Minister of Vocational Training, Handicrafts and Crafts, Mohamed Maalainine Ould Eyih, said the general policy statement presented to Parliament on Saturday by Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Djay revealed a positive record backed by figures, despite the scale of domestic challenges and the difficult international situation.
In a post on his Facebook account, Ould Eyih said the record reflected the government's success in balancing social achievements aimed at improving citizens' living conditions, particularly for the most vulnerable groups, with economic gains he described as unprecedented, which he said help put the country on the desired growth path.
He added that the content of the government's statement confirms that the repercussions of the global crisis, however severe, will not stand in the way of the country's ambitions, but will instead serve as an incentive to pursue development with confidence and determination.
