Madar (Nouakchott) - Health Minister Naha Hamdi Mint Meknass and the minister of digital transformation and administrative modernisation chaired a meeting on practical steps to speed up the digitisation of new health centres planned under the health component of the Nouakchott emergency development programme, to ensure they are digitally ready before they start providing services in the coming days.
The health minister called the digitisation of the centres an urgent priority, given its importance in bringing health services closer to citizens and improving their quality. She called for technical teams from the digital ministry to be mobilised and assigned to the centres, involving chief doctors and the supervision committee.
The digital transformation minister said his ministry was ready to support the process, stressing the need for sustainable digital solutions backed by training to ensure they are used properly and kept running.
The supervision committee presented progress on the digitisation, available equipment and remaining needs. The meeting decided to set up a joint technical team to visit the centres, identify each one's needs and fix shortcomings within the set deadlines.
