Madar (Nouakchott) - France's ambassador to Mauritania, Emmanuel Besnier, accompanied by the embassy's first counsellor, made a working visit on Thursday morning to the headquarters of the National Rally for Reform and Development (Tawassoul), where he was received by a leadership delegation headed by party president Hamadi Ould Sidi El Moctar.
According to an official summary, the delegation included the party's secretary general, its deputy secretary general and the national secretary for external relations and the diaspora, as well as his deputy.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Mauritania and France, as well as several local and international issues of common interest.
