Mauritania's AS Douanes will host Algeria's CR Belouizdad in Nouakchott on Saturday, October 17, in the first leg of the 2026-2027 CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round. The Algerian club has announced its delegation's arrival in Mauritania and released footage of its first training session ahead of the match.
Kick-off at Cheikha Ould Boidiya Stadium is scheduled for 5 p.m. Nouakchott time, or 6 p.m. in Algeria, according to the fixture information published on CR Belouizdad's official page. The game is the first leg of a two-match tie, not a final.
CR Belouizdad had announced its delegation's departure for Mauritania as part of its preparations. Algerian newspaper Echorouk reported that the squad travelled on Wednesday evening, October 14, with 22 players. Arriving ahead of the match gives the squad time to train in Nouakchott before facing the Mauritanian side on its home ground.
