Madar (Nouakchott) - Mauritania's Council of Ministers held its weekly meeting on Wednesday at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, chaired by President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.

The meeting came a day after the President held talks on Tuesday with Prime Minister Moctar Ould Djay, several government members and the governors of Nouakchott's three regions to follow progress on the works and preparations to open 28 health centres in the capital.

The previous Council of Ministers made changes to several administrative posts, affecting officials in the electricity sector, the national power company SOMELEC and the Mauritanian Fish Marketing Company, following the findings of the investigation into fires at two electrical substations in Nouakchott.
