Algeria’s national police announced on 11 October that 61 Moroccans had been arrested in Oran on suspicion of preparing acts of sabotage. The police statement said the operation took place early in the month.

Police said they seized Moroccan passports and sums in dirhams and euros. The statement added that the suspects had been brought before the prosecutor at Oran’s specialised criminal court.
