Madar (Dakar) - The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) said on Monday, October 19, 2026, that its decision on the Senegalese Football Federation's appeal against the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation over the AFCON 2025 final is expected at the end of November 2026, according to a statement carried by the Senegalese Press Agency (APS).

The panel has begun its deliberations and is continuing them, CAS said. "The CAS arbitrators have decided to issue a full decision, including the legal reasons, called a CAS award. This process will take several weeks," the statement said.

CAS said only information released through its own channels is official and that any announcement on the case will be published on its website.

The Senegalese federation went to CAS to overturn the March 17 ruling of CAF's Appeal Board, which declared Senegal to have forfeited the final and awarded Morocco a 3-0 win, although the match ended 1-0 to the Lions of Teranga on the pitch, according to APS.

The hearing was held behind closed doors on October 8 at CAS headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland.
